- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons orange zest
- 1 orange freshly squeezed
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Preheat oven to 330F and grease a large Bundt pan.
In a medium-size bowl, add the sugar and butter and beat this light and fluffy.
Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in another bowl mix with a whisk.
Add the dry mixture into the butter mixture and stir.
Pour in the buttermilk, orange juice, orange zest, and beat until batter is smooth about 3 minutes.
Pour batter into a baking pan and bake for 1 hour. Check with a tooth pick, it ready when it comes out clean.
Cool for at least 40 minutes before serving.
