Chilaquiles are traditional food of Mexico and typically eaten in the morning with a cup of coffee. This quick easy zesty Mexican Chilaquiles recipe made with Tortilla chips, fresh panela cheese and mexican green marinara sauce, that’s why it will also make it a great side or appetizer.
Ingredients
- 100 grams tortillas chips
- 80 grams Mexican Green Sauce (4 tablespoons)
- 10 grams butter (1teaspoon)
- 80 grams Panela Cheese Crumbled or Fresh Cow / Goat Cheese
- Sour Cream for topping ( 1 tablespoon or 20 grams)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan with the heat set to medium, add the green Mexican marinara sauce and butter and stir them together.
- Add in the tortilla chips and toss with the green sauce and butter mixture. Keep tossing until tortillas start to soften about 4-5 minutes.
- Add in the fresh cubed panela cheese and mix together with the mixture for about 1-2 minutes or until cheese melts.
- Remove from the saucepan and place onto a plate.
- Serve with sour cream.
