Chilaquiles are traditional food of Mexico and typically eaten in the morning with a cup of coffee. This quick easy zesty Mexican Chilaquiles recipe made with Tortilla chips, fresh panela cheese and mexican green marinara sauce, that’s why it will also make it a great side or appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 100 grams tortillas chips
  • 80 grams Mexican Green Sauce (4 tablespoons)
  • 10 grams butter (1teaspoon)
  • 80 grams Panela Cheese Crumbled or Fresh Cow / Goat Cheese
  • Sour Cream for topping ( 1 tablespoon or 20 grams)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan with the heat set to medium, add the green Mexican marinara sauce and butter and stir them together.
  2. Add in the tortilla chips and toss with the green sauce and butter mixture. Keep tossing until tortillas start to soften about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Add in the fresh cubed panela cheese and mix together with the mixture for about 1-2 minutes or until cheese melts.
  4. Remove from the saucepan and place onto a plate.
  5. Serve with sour cream.
