Ingredients For Focaccia Without Yeast
- 2 cups of bread flour (260 grams)
- 1/2 cup water plus 2 tablespoons (150 grams)
- 3/4 teaspoon salt (4 grams)
- 3 teaspoons baking powder (15 grams)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 grams) plus some for oiling the top of the focaccia
- 1 tablespoon of dried or fresh rosemary (3 grams)
- 1 teaspoon coarse salt (5 grams)
How To Make Italian Focaccia Without Yeast?
- Preheat oven to 420°F (215.°C) and set the oven rack to the middle position.
- Add some olive oil to the bottom and sides of a round or square 8 inch pan.
- Place the all the ingredients into a mixing machine with the hook attachment and mix on low speed for about 4 minutes, then increse the speed to medium and mix until the dough is developed, about 3 minutes.
- Transfer the dough into the greased baking pan and cover with plastic for about 15 minutes.
- Pour some olive oil onto the top and spread throughout the focaccia dough.
- Using your fingers, dimple downwards pressing into the dough while streching at the same focaccaia dough touches the edges of the pan.
- Sprinkle some rosemary onto the top and slightly press it into the dough followed by the sea salt.
- Place into the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until light golden brown.
- Cut and Serve.
