Ingredients For Gluten Free Stuffing
2 gluten-free bread loaves (1 Ib/16oz or 900 grams)
4 large eggs
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon dry or fresh rosemary
1 tablespoon thyme (dry or fresh)
1 tablespoon sage (dry or fresh)
2 cups chicken broth, or turkey broth
1 cup celery, sliced into rings
1 medium onion, chopped or diced
1 granny smith apple, cubed (optional)
How To Make Gluten Free Stuffing?
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°F), set the rack to the middle position, and grease the bottom and sides of a 2.5-quart casserole dish with oil or butter.
Add the olive oil, diced onion, and sliced celery sliced rings into a medium size skillet and saute on medium-low heat for 6-8 minutes or until the celery and onion are soft. Once cooked set aside to cool.
In the meanwhile, slice the gluten-free bread into small cubes and place it into a large bowl. Then add the salt, garlic powder, dried or fresh rosemary, sage, thyme, and cubed apples (optional), and toss them together.
In another bowl beat the eggs and add to the breadcrumb mixture stir to combine, then add the sauteed celery and onion, and chicken broth and mix together until the gluten-free bread absorbs all the liquid, the bread mixture should be moist.
Transfer the gluten free stuffing mixture into the greased casserole dish and evenly spread it.
