Ingredients To Make Tulumba Dessert Recipe
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tablespoons tapioca or arrowroot flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cup of water or milk
- 2 1/2 tablespoons of rice flour
- 100 g butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
- 6 Large eggs

Ingredients To Make Turkish Tulumba Syrup
- 4 cups granulated sugar
- 2 glasses of water
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
How to Make Tulumba Dessert?
- For the syrup, add the sugar and water into a pot and bring to a boil.
- Add the lemon juice and stir and remove from heat. Set aside to cool.
- Melt the butter and water or milk into the medium size pot and bring to a boil.
- Add the flour in portions stirring and cook for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes..
- Once slightly cooled, add in the eggs one by one and mix until combined.
- Add the salt, arrowroot or tapioca flour and rice and mix all together.
- The batterdough should be runny. Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a tulumba or churro tip. If you don’t have one of those tips, you can use a large piping star tip.
- Heat the oil over medium heat to 375°F (190°C.
- Squeeze 5-6 cm long strips of tulumba dough into the hot oil and fry for about 2 minutes.
- Remove the cooked tulumba and into sugar syrup and let it soak for 10-15 minutes then serve.
