Ingredients for soft chewy chocolate chip cookies in grams:
- 240 grams all-purpose flour
- 220 grams golden yellow sugar
- 30 grams granulated sugar
- 4 grams baking powder
- 2 grams baking soda
- 2 grams salt
- 180 grams unsalted butter ( room temperature)
- 50 grams whole egg
- 15 grams molasses
- 4 grams vanilla extract
- 200 grams chocolate chips or chunks milk or dark
Ingredients for soft chewy chocolate chip cookies in volume measurements:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup golden yellow sugar
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter ( room temperature)
- 1 large whole egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 200 grams chocolate chips or chunks milk or dark

- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) with the oven rack in the middle.
- Line your cookie baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a bowl add the all purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt and sift in another bow.
- In a mixing bowl with metal paddle attachment, add the butter, golden yellow sugar and granulated sugar and and mix on medium speed until creamy textured is achieved.
- Add in the eggs, molasses and vanilla extract and mix until mixture is well combined.
- Add in the flour mixture and chocolate chips and mix just until ingredients come together and form a dough, about 1 minutes or so.
- Using a spoon or ice cream scoop, drop dollops of cookie dough onto baking tray spacing them about 1 1/2 inch.
- This recipe calls for about 24 cookies which will require for you to bake two times. 12 cookies per tray for medium cookies and 8 per tray for larger ones.
- Place cookie tray into oven and bake for approximately 8-10 minutes
- Bottom of cookies will be golden brown.
- Cool cookies on wire rack. Once cooled stored in air tight cookie jar so that they remain soft and chewy.

made these for my kid and they loved them
Added additional 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar for texture. Also increased the vanilla for more flavor.
10 minute bake was exactly enough to make these cookies chewy and soft
