This quick Lasagna bolognese recipe with white sauce is easy to make and tastes amazingly delicious. This lasagna bolognese recipe is the best and completely from scratch including the bolognese sauce, and yes it’s quick to prepare.

Homemade lasagna bolognese with white sauce is one of my family’s favorite Italian foods. I often make this casserole oven-baked lasagna pasta filled with layers of lasagna pasta, meat bolognese, mozzarella or ricotta cheese, and creamy bechamel sauce at least once a month. This is my special version of Lasagna bolognese and I’m happy to share it with you.

Ingredients For Lasagna Bolognese With White Bechamel Sauce

  • 2 1/4 cups of milk
  • 4 tablesspoons of butter
  • 4 tablespoons of all purpose flour

Ingredients For Lasagna Bolognese With Ground Beef

  • 400 grams lean ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or more to taste)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon olive oil (or regular oil)
  • 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 3 1/2 cups tomato pulp
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 300 grams oven ready lasagna pasta
  • 250 grams shredded mozzarella (or ricotta cheese)

How To Make The Best Lasagna Bolognese?

  1. White Sauce – Add the butter into a pot and melt on medium low heat, then add the flour and alittle of the milk and stir until the flour is dessolved. Add the remaining milk and cook stirring constantly until the bechamel sauce begins to thicken.
  2. Remove from heat and add the sourcream, salt and nutmeg. Stir to combine and set aside.
  3. Bolognese Meat Sauce – Add oil into a pot along with the diced onion and garlic and sautee on medium low heat until golden in color.
  4. Add the gound beef and cook for about 15-20 minutes, once meat is fried add the water, salt, blackpepper and tomato pulp and cook until the mixture comes to a boil., reduce heat to low and cook for additional 5 minutes stirring occassionally. Set aside.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and set the oven rack to middle position.
  6. Lasagna Bolognese Assembly – In a glass casserole dish, add a layer of bolognese meatsauce, mozzarella or rocotta cheese, white sauce, then cover it with a layer of oven ready lasagna pasta.
  7. Repeat 2 more times until you have 3 layers.
  8. Finish the top with a layer of bolognese meat sauce, white sauce, mozzarella or ricotta cheese and shrinkle with parsley.
  9. Cover the top of the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45-50 minutes.
  10. Once the bolognese lagagna is baked, remove from the oven and serve.
