What makes the Piri Piri stand aside from all other spicy sauces is it’s distinctive hot and super spicy vinegary flavor. Made with African bird’s eye chili which packs the heat in this special sauce. If your unable to find this chili you can substitute with any red hot chili from your grocery store.

In North America particular United States and Canada, the sauce of choice is of course Ketchup. The Portuguese instead add this piri piri sauce to everything they eat.
