  • ⅔ cup granulated sugar (139 grams)
  • ½ cup natural unsweetened cocoa powder (48 grams)
  • ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3 large eggs (150 grams), room temperature

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to a temperature of 325°F and line the bottom and sides of the pan with foil and using nonstick cooking spray lightly coat the foil.
  2. In a large saucepan combine the chocolate chips and butter and place over low heat. stirring occasionally melt until smooth then remove and let it cool,
  3. You can also microwave in intervals of 15 seconds until chocolate is melted.
  4. In a separate bowl, add and whisk together the sugar, cocoa, and salt in a bowl.
  5. If the cocoa is lumpy, sift it through a fine-mesh.
  6. In a small bowl, add the eggs and whisk until smooth and set aside.
  7. Add the dry ingredients to the melted chocolate mixture and whisk until batter is smooth.
  8. Lastly, add the eggs and mix with a whisk until well combined.
  9. Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared pan and smoothen the top with a spoon.
  10. Bake for about 30-35 minutes. Insert a toothpick at the center it should come out a little moist.
  11. Let it cool in the pan for 20-30 minutes with the aluminum foil.
  12. Cut into squares and enjoy.

    Hi, I would like to try this recipe, but I have some questions about the directions. It’s not clear when what parts are added to what:
    “…whisk the sugar, cocoa, and salt in a bowl.
    Sift it through a fine-mesh if the cocoa is lumpy and then whisk in the salt.
    In a bowl add eggs and whisk until smooth.
    pour the melted chocolate in a steady stream.”
    — When are the dry ingredients added, and to what?
    — What bowl are the eggs added to?
    — What are we pouring the melted chocolate/butter into?

    I can make some guesses, but I’d like to hear it from you.
