Ingredients for Grilled Cheese Sandwich:

  • 4 Cheddar or Gouda cheese slice slices cheese
  • 2 teaspoons margarine
  • 1 teaspoon mayo
  • 4 slices or white, wholewheat or multigrain bread
  • 1 Small Avocado Sliced into wedges (optional)
  • 1 Small Green Apple Sliced thin into wedges (optional)
  • 2 slices Ham (optional)

How To Make Grill Cheese Sandwich In The Oven?

  1. Preheat the oven to 390°F (200°C).
  2. Spread 1 teaspoon of margarine in the bottom of the cast iron skillet or baking tray.
  3. Mean while, prepare your sandwich by spread each side of the toast bread with the margarine followed by the mayo.
  4. Place 2 slices of cheese on the two bottoms of toast then close with the top slices. If you want to add avocados, apples or ham, you can add them on top of the cheese before closing it with the top slice.
  5. Place both sandwiches in skillet and place into the oven.
  6. Bake for 5 minutes each side.
  7. Remove from oven with oven mitts and serve.
