This easy to prepare Hollandaise Dutch Sauce is prepared using a blender but you can also prepare hollandaise sauce using an immersion blender.

Our Hollandaise sauce is made with egg yolk, butter, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, chili powder.

You can easy make this Hollandaise Sauce with vinegar instead of lemon juice by replace the lemon juice and zest with 1/2 teaspoon vinegar.

How To Stop Hollandaise Sauce From Splitting or Separating?

To stop your hollandaise sauce from splitting or separating make sure that during the blending, whether using a blender, emulsion blender, or whisk that the ingredients are properly emulsified.

You can add some extra mustard or lemon juice, this will help with the emulsification and also increase the viscosity of the sauce.

Ingredients For Hollandaise Sauce

  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried chilli powder
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, or more as desired for flavor
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter or ghee (melted)

How To Make Hollandaise Sauce In 5-Minutes?

  1. Add the butter or ghee into a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for about 1 minute or until melted.
  2. In a blender, add the egg yolks, dijon mustard, honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and chili powder and blender at high speed for about 8-10 seconds.
  3. You can also prepare this hollandaise sauce with an immersion blender.
  4. Pour in the hot butter or ghee and blend on medium speed until well combined.
  5. Transfer the hollandaise sauce into a bowl and drizzle or dip with anything.
  6. Enjoy!
