This decadent Italian milk chocolate panna cotta is rich, smooth, and creamy making it the perfect after-meal dessert.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups of heavy cream 480 grams
  • 1 cup of milk 240 grams
  • 3 teaspoons gelatin 9grams
  • 1 cup of sugar 100 grams
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder 15 grams
  • 1/2 milk chocolate chips 85 grams or dark chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 4 grams

Instructions
 

  • In a medium-size bowl, add the 1/2 cup of milk and sprinkle the gelatin on top.
  • Pour the milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and sugar into a pot and bring to a boil mixing frequently. Remove from stove and set aside.
  • Add the milk chocolate chips and sifted cocoa powder into the milk mixture and mix until blended.
  • Combined the gelatin mixture with the chocolate mixture and mix until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture through a sieve to remove any lumps.
  • Add sieved cocoa powder and dark chocolate then stir till dissolved.
  • Add softened gelatin mixture as you stir.
  • Fill 6 ramekins or small cups with the dark chocolate panna cotta and place them into the refrigerator to set for at least 2 hours.
  • Serve with whipped cream drizzled with chocolate glaze or dust with cocoa powder topped with fresh berries.
