Biscuit Recipe Without Milk

Simple butter biscuit recipe without any milk. These biscuits are flaky and soft and tatse great with a cup of hot chocolate, tea or coffee.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup butter plus extra 2 tablespoons melted for brushing biscuits
  • 3/4 cup almond milk or water

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 410°F (210°C) and set the oven rack to middle position.
  • Sift the flour, baking powder, and the salt into a bowl.
  • Add and the butter in small cubes to the flour mixture.
  • Mix until mixture becomes a crumble texture
  • Add in the almond milk or water and mix just until all the ingredients come together about 1 minute.
  • Remove biscuit dough from mixing bowl and place onto a floured working surface.
  • Sprinkle some flour on the top of the dough and roll out to about 1/2 inch thickness with a rolling pin.
  • Cut the biscuit dough with a 2 1/2 inch cookie cutter and place onto a lined baking tray.
  • Bake in preheated oven for approximately 12-15 minutes or until light golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and brush the tops with melted butter.
