This easy Filipino leche flan recipe is a delicacy among the Filipino people. Creamy, soft, yummy and super easy to prepare. Made with 4 simple ingredients that you most likely have in your fridge and pantry.
In a medium size saucepan add the sugar and cook on medium heat until sugar caramilizes into a light brownish colour.
Remove from heat and dip pot into bowl with room temperature water for a second and Pour caramel into small flan molds filling the base just until covered with caramel.
Preheat oven to 375F / (190C)
In a mixing bowl add the egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk and using a whisk slowly mix until mixture is well combined.
Pour mixture through fine strainer into another bowl.
Fill flan molds with flan mixture just under the rim and place into baking pan filled with water (about 1 inch height)
Place into preheated oven and bake for 45-60 minutes depending on size of flan molds.
Flan is ready when it is set at surface and jiggly.
Once baking is done remove from oven and flip upside down onto serving plate. Cool for 60 minutes in refrigerator before eating.
